Wolves are being strongly backed to sign Benik Afobe.
Odds have been cut further on Wolves clinching a deal to re-sign striker Benik Afobe.
Having previously been 9/4 with SkyBet, the bookmakers cut odds last night to 8/11 on the forward returning to his former club.
Bournemouth’s Benik Afobe
The 24-year-old Bournemouth striker struggled for game time last season, making only 14 Premier League starts, scoring six goals.
Afobe became a fan favourite at Wolves after signing in 2015. A year later he was signed by the Cherries in a big money move.
After excelling at League One and Championship level, Afobe has found the adjustment to the Premier League a bit more of a struggle.
Benik Afobe at Wolves
Wolves are signing players in a bid to challenge for promotion after last season’s disappointing 15th place finish.
Despite some impressive recruits, they still lack a prolific goalscorer and re-signing Afobe would solve that problem instantly.
His future at Bournemouth could be dependent on whether the Cherries can hold onto in demand forward and last season’s top scorer Joshua King.
