Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly keen on signing the Middlesbrough winger.
According to a report from the Sun, Wolves are leading the race to sign Middlesbrough’s Adama Traore, but the Black Country outfit should think twice about bringing the former Barcelona youngster to Molineux this summer.
The 22-year-old joined Boro from Aston Villa in the summer of 2016, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £7 million, and he now has a release clause inserted into his contract thought to be worth £18 million, according to the Sun.
Traore possesses blistering pace, and plays with a certain type of directness that undoubtedly causes defenders problems, but his final product leaves a lot to be desired, and should be something that Wolves take note of, before making a move for him.

In 162 career appearances, he has chalked up just 17 goals and 35 assists – a rather meagre tally for someone who operates as an advanced right winger.
Nuno Espirito Santo has plenty of quality available to him at Molineux, and any signings that he makes this summer should be made on the premiss of really improving his starting XI.
Wolves are in a sound position financially, but that does not mean that they can afford to be frivolous with their cash, and £18 million on Traore might just be classed as excessive spending from the Black Country outfit.
Many fancy Nuno’s side to take the Premier League by storm this season, but if they are to do just that, they must ensure they do their due diligence on any potential transfer targets before bringing them to the club.
And they might just be best served in avoiding a move for Middlesbrough’s Traore.
