Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Christian Herc has left the door open on staying at Molineux once his loan spell at DAC 1904 Dunajska Streda comes to an end.

The 20-year-old, a Slovakia Under-21 international, has been on the books of Wolves since 2014 when he joined their academy from Slovakian outfit FC Nitra, according to Transfermarkt.

However, Herc has not featured for the West Midlands club’s senior team in a competitive game, despite making 37 appearances for the Under-23s in which he scored nine goals and claimed two assists.

Since joining the Slovakian club in early 2018, Herc has been a regular in the centre of their midfield, according to the official Wolves website.

Indeed, he has played in all but one of his new team’s matches so far this season, including four appearances in the qualifying rounds of the Europa League.

With the Slovakian league now on a winter break, Herc returned to Compton Park to get himself back to full fitness following a slight injury in his last DAC game.

Recently, the Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 63, Sunday, January 6, 2019) claimed that Wolves are looking to sell Herc to Spartak Moscow this month.

While back in England, he spoke about what he feels the future holds for him and his career – and whether the prospect of kicking on at Wolves is on his agenda.

“Since I moved in February, a lot of things have changed at Wolves,” Herc, contracted to Molineux until 2020, told the official club website.

“They’ve been promoted to the Premier League, the training ground is different, but everything is nice out here, so I’m happy to be back.

“I am still there until the end of the season. I want to improve myself, try my best and I want to come back in the summer and then we will see what’s going on.”
