Wolves manager Walter Zenga has made quite the impression at Molineux since his arrival at the club a few months ago, with his interesting comments in the media being matched by his personality and exuberance on the touchline.

As reported by Express & Star, the Italian has made some rather philosophical statements in the wake of his side’s loss to lowly Wigan Athletic.

It was another surprising loss for Zenga’s men which appears as if it will be a theme for them this season after back to back wins over promotion candidates Newcastle and Brentford.

“This evening just happened because it happened – I cannot blame nobody.

“Our keeper kicked the ball, it arrived at their midfielder, he puts the ball as far as he can. What can I say? This is the reality.”

This is the latest in a series of interesting remarks from Zenga, who once stated that Wolves were the biggest team in Italy.

“Football is this – it doesn’t matter how much possession you have, how many shots you have, how many chances you have…in the end you have to put the ball in the net.

“When you win you enjoy and you are satisfied. When you lose you have to explain why you lost.”

Wolves will attempt to bounce back from the defeat when they face Norwich City at Molineux this weekend, in a game that could provide a good indication of where both sides will end up this season.
