The Wolverhampton Wanderers striker is away from Molineux this season, having swapped West Midlands for East Midlands and the City Ground.
Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee Rafa Mir may have struggled at Molineux but he seems to be slowly finding his feet at Nottingham Forest, where he is on a season-long loan.
The 22-year-old forward joined Wolves from Valencia in January 2018 but featured just four times for the Premier League club, although things went a little better at international level as he helped Spain win the European Under-21 Championship this summer.
This term, Mir has made seven appearances for Forest in all competitions – two 90-minute appearances in the League Cup and five substitute appearances in the Championship, and though he’s yet to get off the mark in the Garibaldi red, he has notched up two assists (Transfermarkt).
On the training ground, the Spaniard weighed in with a superb goal which Forest’s Twitter page found worthy of showing off on their feel – a nonchalant, cool as you like backheel which left the goalkeeper helpless.
According to the Birmingham Mail, Mir’s latest loan move away from Wolves includes an option in Forest’s favour to make the deal permanent at the end of it, and although he is yet to pull up any trees at either Wolves or Forest, there is a long way to go of the season and a lot can happen – and clearly, the talent is there.
