Wolverhampton Wanderers target Jean-Clair Todibo joins Barcelona.

Any feel-good vibe that Wolverhampton Wanderers experienced after knocking high-flying Liverpool out of the FA Cup has probably evaporated by now.
Wolves, who beat the Premier League leaders 2-1 at Molineux last night, have today discovered that they won’t be signing red-hot hitman Tammy Abraham.
The Chelsea-owned striker is reportedly staying on loan at Aston Villa until the end of the season [The Guardian].
It’s a big blow for Wolves, but they’ve just received another one on the transfer front.
Toulouse’ 19-year-old gem Jean-Clair Todibo, heavily linked with a move to Wanderers during the month of November [La Depeche], has officially joined Barcelona.
There are no definitive transfer fees, but The Daily Mail report that Manchester City were willing to pay £3.5 million for him.
That’s another disappointing element from a Wolves perspective, given that this was a rare occasion where they could financially compete with City and Barca for a player.
It remains to be seen if Nuno orchestrates a fruitful transfer window but, at the moment, it’s gotten off to a dreadful start.
