Leo Bonatini has been in fantastic form throughout October for Wolves.
Bonatini, 23, was in excellent form for the Midlands outfit last month, striking fear into defenders and scoring five goals in four games with strikes against Norwich City, Queens Park Rangers and Aston Villa as well as a brace against Preston North End.
The Brazilian forward fended off competition from Bolton Wanderers speed machine Sammy Ameobi, Sunderland attacker Lewis Grabban and experienced Derby County veteran Richard Keogh.
The SkyBet Championship’s official website reported that Bonatini had won the award ahead of his rivals, and the striker replied by stating that “without them, none of that would be possible.”
Bonatini joined Nuno Espirito Santo’s side in the summer from Saudi Arabian champions Al-Hilal, and has excelled since by hitting the ground running at the Molineux with 10 goals in 18 league and cup appearances.
Winning 11 of their 16 games in the Championship this season, Wolves sit at the top of the table largely thanks to Bonatini’s goals and are early favourites to gain promotion to the Premier League.
The 12-time Brazil Under-17 international will next be in action against on November 18, as Wolves travel to the Madjeski Stadium to face Jaap Stam’s Reading.
