Wolves want Julen Lopetegui and their chase has been made easier after he and Sevilla confirmed that they are parting ways.
Wolves sacked Bruno Lage on Sunday evening having lost 2-0 away at West Ham United just 24 hours earlier.
Lage was solid if unspectacular in his first season as Wolves boss last term but just one win in eight Premier League games this season proved to be the end.
Wolves have been linked with a host of managers in the last few days but their top target now appears to be clear for all to see.

Wolves want Julen Lopetegui
Spanish coach Lopetegui has emerged as the main man for Wolves.
Sky Sports claimed on Wednesday that Lopetegui is Wolves’ top target but they were waiting to see what would happen with his future at Sevilla.
Lopetegui was wanted by Wolves back in 2016, but he ended up becoming Spain boss instead, in what sounds like a strange dilemma.
Now Sevilla boss after a brief dalliance with Real Madrid, Lopetegui won the 2020 Europa League and has largely impressed in Andalusia.
Results have faded this season though and Sevilla have won just once in La Liga.
Lopetegui has been under huge pressure and Wednesday’s 4-1 Champions league defeat to Borussia Dortmund has sealed his fate.
Sevilla have confirmed on their official Twitter account that Lopetegui is no longer their manager.
Their parting of the ways has now been confirmed with Sevilla fans saying an emotional goodbye at full time on Wednesday night.
This surely paves the way for Lopetegui to make the move to Wolves, finally landing the manager they wanted so many years ago.
There may still be other candidates in the frame but Lopetegui becoming available means it would be a huge surprise if Wolves went in another direction now.
