It was a battle between first and third in the Championship on Saturday as both teams came into the match unbeaten in the league so far, but it was Huddersfield who took home the spoils against Wolves on this occasion.
Dutch winger Rajiv van la Parra – who left Wolves to join Huddersfield just two months ago – scored his first goal for the Terriers after just six minutes, finishing after Nakhi Wells had hit the post for what proved to be the game’s only goal.

Whilst Huddersfield enjoyed 56% possession, it was Wolves who threatened in the final third more often, particularly in a strong second-half push where Joao Teixeira was denied by the woodwork and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson by an outstanding save from Huddersfield’s goalkeeper Danny Ward.
The Molineux men had 14 attempts on goal compared to Town’s nine, but too many of their shots were off target with only four shots challenging Ward over the course of the afternoon.
Wolves fans took to Twitter to give their reaction to the defeat with many of them taking a measured approach to the result, what with it still being early days in the season.
There was a particular focus in the aftermath on the transitional phase in which the club finds itself, with many fans looking toward to seeing more of the new signings in action after the international break.
