Wolves U23s, managed by Rob Edwards, are champions of Premier League 2 Division 2 after Southampton’s game against Sunderland.

Wolverhampton Wanderers Under-23s have officially clinched the Premier League 2 Division 2 title, and thus promotion to the top flight of English reserve football.
Rob Edwards’s charges had all but sealed the honours on Friday night after coming from two goals down to run out 3-2 winners over Manchester United at Leigh Sports Village.
It began badly for Wolves as Ricky Sbragia’s side surged into a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Mason Greenwood and Angel Gomes.
However, Lee O’Connor diverted into his own net 10 minutes from time to set up a tense finish before Niall Ennis levelled in the 88th minute.
The incredible late turnaround was then completed when Sadou Diallo scored in stoppage time, putting the visitors on the brink of glory.
Southampton had to beat Sunderland by more than 12 goals on Monday to leapfrog Wolves and, though they gave it a good go, their 5-1 win was not sufficient to dethrone the Old Gold.
