Wolverhampton Wanderers ace Romain Saiss put in an impressive performance for Morocco in their 1-0 win over Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations and a number of fans took to Twitter to praise the 29-year-old’s display.
Saiss produced a stunning goalline clearance at the beginning of the Group D match, thwarting Aston Villa’s Jonathan Kodjia, who weighed in with a header after just 38 seconds played.
It proved an important contribution as Saiss’ teammate Youssef En-Nesyri scored the game’s only goal in the first half after a clever pass from Nordin Amrabat, and the result put Morocco into the last 16.

Saiss has been a Wolves player since 2016, being signed from SCO Angers when Walter Zenga was in charge at Molineux, and was crucial for in 2017-18 under Nuno Espirito Santo, featuring in 38 Championship games en route to the title and promotion.
Though he did not feature as often in 2018-19, making 19 Premier League appearances – 12 of them starts – and 26 in all competitions (Transfermarkt), he nonetheless was offered, and signed, a new deal in February to tie him to the Molineux outfit until 2021 (official Wolves website).
