Wolves boss Nuno is in the running for April’s Premier League MOTM award but some of the Molineux faithful don’t want him to win it.
Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Nuno Espirito Santo has been nominated for April’s Premier League Manager of the Month award.
The Wolves coach steered his charges to victories over Manchester United, Arsenal and Watford during the month, which keeps them in contention for seventh place in the Premier League table.
Nuno was awarded the MOTM award in only his second month managing in the top flight of English football after the Molineux outfit went unbeaten in September, picking up ten points from four matches and only conceding one goal.
However, Wolves suffered a downturn in form after the Portuguese was given the accolade, losing against the likes of Brighton & Hove Albion, Huddersfield Town and Cardiff City (BBC Sport), cue talk of the award carrying a “curse”.

Nuno is up against Pep Guardiola of Manchester City, Jurgen Klopp of Liverpool and Scott Parker of Fulham for the award, with votes counted before 6pm BST on Thursday 2 May.
