Wolverhampton Wanderers have enjoyed a superb FA Cup run so far this term which included a victory over Premier League title contenders Liverpool but now comes arguably their biggest test so far.

The West Midlanders’ reward for seeing off Bristol City in the fifth round of the competition is a quarter-final tie against a resurgent Manchester United, who will travel to Molineux on the weekend of 15 and 18 March for the fixture.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has masterminded a revival at Old Trafford, with the Red Devils having failed to win just twice – a draw with Burnley and a defeat to Paris Saint-Germain – since replacing Jose Mourinho in the hotseat, and beating Chelsea in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

After the draw was made on Monday night, the reaction on social media among the Wolves fanbase was mixed, with responses ranging from the fatalistic, we-are-doomed variety to excitement over the possibility of another major scalp to go along with the Anfield one.

Here is some of the Twitter reaction from the Molineux faithful:

The other three ties will see Swansea City face Manchester City, Watford host Crystal Palace, and Millwall lock horns with Brighton & Hove Albion.
