The Wolves ace, on loan from Anderlecht, scored the winner for Nuno’s side against the Cottagers in the final Molineux game of the Premier League season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have triumphed in their last Premier League home game of the season as Leander Dendoncker’s second-half goal gave Nuno Espirito Santo’s side a 1-0 win over Fulham at Molineux.
Wolves dominated the first half with Diogo Jota almost giving the hosts the lead inside 10 minutes when he picked up Raul Jimenez’s backpass and rifled goalwards Sergio Rico was equal to the effort.
Jota, Dendoncker and Willy Boly weighed in with further efforts over the course of the first half but they could not find the breakthrough, while after the interval, Ruben Neves saw a long-range effort tipped behind.
Eventually the breakthrough came 15 minutes from time when Dendoncker met Matt Doherty’s cross from the right and smashed home on the volley, which the already relegated Cottagers could not come back from.
Only Leicester City can now dethrone Wolves from seventh place in the table and they would need to beat Manchester City and Chelsea in their final two matches to stand a chance of doing so.
