A number of Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the draw for the fourth round of the League Cup, which has put them up against West Midlands rivals Aston Villa.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s charges progressed following a penalty shootout win over Reading, who had drawn level deep into injury time through Lucas Boye after Wolves debutant Bruno Jordao gave the hosts a 1-0 lead at Molineux.

John Swift and Boye missed their spot kicks, while Ruben Vinagre scored the decisive fourth penalty to win the shootout, and their reward will be a tie against Dean Smith’s side, whose much-changed side claimed a 3-1 win away at Brighton & Hove Albion.

Here is what some Wolves fans said on social media regarding the draw:

Both Wolves and Villa are currently in the Premier League’s bottom three, the former having had a tricky start to the season following last term’s heroics, while the latter are still finding their feet in the top flight following promotion from the Championship last time out.
