The Portuguese midfielder is currently serving a two-game suspension.
Ruben Neves of Wolverhampton Wanderers
Wolverhampton Wanderers are still top of the Championship at the moment, but their form has hit a slight dip in recent weeks. Wolves have not won in three games and lost to Fulham at the weekend, with the gap to Cardiff City in second now down to just six points.
One player who was missing from the Fulham defeat was midfield maestro Ruben Neves. He missed the game after picking up 10 bookings this season, therefore triggering a two-game suspension, and his absence was keenly felt in the clash.
He will also miss the game with Reading at the weekend, returning in time for the Leeds United clash next Wednesday.
Clearly the player himself is missing the action. He posted this tweet yesterday:
Neves has proven himself to be a high-class operator at this level. He was signed for a Championship record £15.8 million in the summer from Porto, as reported by the BBC, and proved himself worthy of the price-tag throughout the current campaign.
His form has been pivotal to the club’s success under Nuno Espirito Santo and fans have been expressing their love for him on Twitter after his post:
