Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly beleive out-of-favour Derby County ace Chris Martin can fire them to promotion.

It appears that there is one piece missing in an otherwise picturesque Wolves jigsaw.
The Black Country giants boast by far the Championship’s most fearsome squad but a lack of support for the prolific Leo Bonatini threatens to undermine all the progress made this season via an ill-timed injury or suspension.
But whether Chris Martin is the answer is up for debate. According to The Sun (3rd December, page 65), Wolves have made the Derby County striker their number one transfer target ahead of the January window.

Martin has started just four league games for The Rams with manager Gary Rowett preferring other options in attack. And the report claims that Derby could cash in to raise funds in January.
And although the 29-year-old has started just one league game this season, Martin’s Championship pedigree and impressive track-record should not be overlooked. He was Derby’s top scorer for three successive seasons between 2013 and 2016 and netted ten times on loan at Fulham in the previous campaign.
But as plenty of Wolves fans have pointed out, the Chinese-backed Midlanders have acquired rather more expensive tastes since Fosun International completed their takeover in 2016.

And, on paper, Martin would seem like an underwhelming addition for a side who can boast Diogo Jota, Ruben Neves, Ivan Cavaleiro and co.
