Leo Bonataini has issued a rallying call to his Wolverhampton Wanderers team-mates ahead of Derby County’s visit to Molineux tomorrow.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side could confirm their long-awaited promotion to the Premier League tomorrow night, depending on how tonight’s results go.
Wolves will seal their return to the top flight if Fulham drop points at home to Reading tonight, and Nuno’s side dispatch the Rams.
Bonatini, who will cost Wanderers around £5 million if they choose to make his loan from Al-Hilal permanent [Birmingham Mail], hasn’t scored for the West Midlands outfit since December – a barren spell that now stands at 20 matches.
And Wolves fans have urged him to break his duck on Twitter today.
Despite his poor form, the 24-year-old can still claim to have played a huge role in Wolves’ imminent promotion to the big time, having scored 12 goals in the first half of the season.
But this slump is disconcerting to say the least and time will tell whether the Portuguese manager pays the £5 million needed to sign him on a long-term basis.
