Leo Bonatini’s goal drought for Wolverhampton Wanderers in league competition is officially over a year.

If there’s anything in English football which goes on longer than a Paul Pogba run-up, it’s Leo Bonatini’s goal drought for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
It has been precisely one year and one day since the 24-year-old striker scored a league goals for Wolves.
On December 4 last year, the Brazilian hit the winner in a 1-0 win at Birmingham City for what was his 12th Championship goal of the season but, barring a Carabao Cup goal against Sheffield Wednesday in September, Bonatini hasn’t found the net since.
It’s a remarkable drought for a centre-forward who spearheaded Wolves’ promotion charge for half of last season but, if his latest tweet is anything to go by, he remains in high spirits nonetheless.
But unfortunately there were a selection of Wanderers fans who didn’t exactly share his enthusiasm.
Here’s how some supporters responded to Bonatini on the social media platform:

To be fair, he is unlikely to be involved – well, from the start anyway. Nuno Espirito Santo hasn’t started Bonatini in a single Premier League game yet this season, and it’s been over a month since his last appearance.
Forget about scoring, if he gets on the pitch versus Chelsea then he’s doing well for himself.
