Wolverhampton Wanderers look on course for a long overdue promotion push this season, with their 4-0 victory against Burton Albion on Saturday yet another example of their attacking intent and all-round quality.

Goals from Diogo Jota, Romain Saiss, Ruben Vinagre and Leo Bonatini were enough to inflict yet more misery on a Burton side shipping goals at an alarming rate, and Wolves fans have plenty to be excited about as the season heads into the latest in a long line of international breaks.

While so many of Wolves’ players impressed on Saturday, arguably the standout performer was Vinagre, whose pace and confidence caused Burton all sorts of problems.

The 18-year-old may be a left-back by trade, but he played most of the clash as a winger, such was Wolves’ dominance and Burton’s failure to push forward.

The Wolves loanee may be young but his quality is clear for all to see, and on this evidence they will be desperate to sign him up permanently at the end of the campaign, although his parent club AS Monaco may have something to say about that if he continues to impress at Molineux.
