Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with Jack Butland of Stoke City in the summer transfer window.

Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to Stoke City manager Paul Lambert’s comments about goalkeeper Jack Butland.

According to The Express, Wolves, who will play in the Premier League next season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship, are interested in signing Butland from Stoke in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that the Wanderers are ready to make a £35 million move for the 25-year-old England international goalkeeper.

Stoke manager Paul Lambert, though, has dismissed speculation linking Butland with a move to his former club Wolves.

The former Celtic midfielder was in charge of the Wanderers from November 2016 until the end of the 2016-17 season.

Lambert told Sky Sports when asked if £35m was a fair sum for Butland: “Is that for one glove? The way the modern market is you might get one glove for that. When it becomes a little bit more realistic with the modern day transfer fees then wait and see.

“I know people at Wolves and get along well with them, but that will probably get you Jack’s right hand I think.”
