According to The Northern Echo, Wolves, who will play in the Premier League next season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship, want to sign McNair from Sunderland, who will feature in League One during the 2018-19 campaign after getting relegated from the Championship.
It has been reported that the Black Cats want £7 million as transfer fee in order to part company with the 23-year-old, who can operate as a defender or as a midfielder.
