Wolves fans have been reacting on Twitter to Morgan Gibbs-White’s cameo during the Championship leaders’ draw with Hull City on Tuesday night which leaves Nuno Espirito Santo’s men in the driving seat to secure promotion.

Wolves went into the game off the back of an impressive run of form which had seen the league leaders beat Reading, Burton Albion and Middlesbrough to help keep some daylight between themselves and Cardiff City at the top of the table.

A home clash with a struggling Hull side looked set to be a home banker on paper, and it all looked to be going to plan when Diogo Jota won and scored a penalty inside the first 20 minutes. However, Hull had seemingly not read the script.

They scored either side of the break to turn the game on its head and leave Wolves with just 12 minutes to find an equaliser that would extend their run of games without a home defeat to six.

One minute before Hull’s goal, Nuno decided to throw Gibbs-White on and he would play a small role in Wolves’ equaliser, laying off the ball for Barry Douglas to cross for Oskar Burr.

Gibbs-White’s time on the pitch may have been brief, but many were hugely impressed by the 18-year-old, who is undoubtedly one of the brightest prospects anywhere in the Football League.
