What do Eric Djemba-Djemba, Kleberson and William Prunier all have in common? Well, compared to Bebe, they all look like inspired additions for Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United.
You all know the story by now. Signed for £7.4 million from Vitoria Guimaraes just five weeks after completing a move from the Portuguese third division, the unknown youngster had recently represented the country in the Homeless World Cup, The Guardian reports.
This was a literal ‘rags to riches’ tale. But not one that had a happy ending.
Featuring just seven times, it became quickly apparent that Sir Alex had bought a dud. Not only did Bebe look out of his depth against the likes of Crawley Town in the FA Cup, he didn’t even resemble a professional footballer.
Therefore, few expected the winger to return to England three years after finally completing a departure from Old Trafford. Yet, according to Marca, Wolves could offer Bebe a route back into the English game by paying La Liga overachievers Eibar £1.5 million for his signature.

Now, Wolves will have their own memories of the 26-year-old. The now infamous YouTube video entitled ‘Bebe crossing show’ is a 2 minute 51 second ode to how not to deliver a ball into the box.
And supporters won’t take too kindly to being reminded that Bebe scored one of his two Manchester United goals against them, a heavily deflected cross-shot in a League Cup clash.
Yet, new Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo knows Bebe well from his loan spell at Rio Ave in 2013. Therefore, supporters will be praying that his second spell in England is better than his first.
