Wolverhampton Wanderers beat West Ham United 1-0 on Saturday.

Wolverhampton Wanderers picked up their first Premier League win of the season on Saturday afternoon as they beat West Ham United 1-0.
Wolves had earned praise for their performance against Manchester City last week as they picked up a 1-1 draw with the champions, and went to East London in search of a first league win of the season.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were on top for much of the game, though did see goalkeeper Rui Patricio pull off a couple of superb saves, including a remarkable stop from a Michail Antonio header.
Wolves continued to press for a winner, and it came in the dying seconds as Carlos Sanchez lost possession inside his own half, and Leo Bonatini was able to tee up Adama Traore to score the winner.
It was two substitutes who combined for the winning goal, and whilst Traore will grab the headlines for his goal, Bonatini played a key role in Wolves’ victory.
The Brazilian striker – who scored against Sheffield Wednesday in the Carabao Cup in midweek – received criticism last season, but Wolves made his loan move from Al-Hilal permanent anyway.

Bonatini not only popped up with the assist for Traore’s winner, but also went close himself, forcing a save from Lukasz Fabianski having been picked out by Raul Jimenez.
Wolves fans took to Twitter to comment on Bonatini’s display, suggesting that he will be very important this season and will only get better having made a big impact as a substitute, believing he has his confidence back and become a brand new player after a fantastic cameo.
