Wolverhampton Wanderers played out a remarkable game of football on Saturday afternoon, beating Leicester City 4-3 at Molineux.

Having lost to Manchester City on Monday night, Wolves were keen to bounce back against Leicester, and got off to a dream start.

Joao Moutinho’s cross was flicked home by Diogo Jota, before Ryan Bennett headed home a Moutinho corner to make it 2-0.

Leicester hit back in the second half, with Jamie Vardy teeing up Demarai Gray for 2-1, before Harvey Barnes’ shot was deflected into his own net by Conor Coady to make it 2-2.

Wolves re-established their lead when Jota fired home from a stunning Rubes Neves pass, only for Wes Morgan to head Leicester level again in a topsy-turvy encounter.

Wolves did have the last laugh though, with Raul Jimenez teeing up Jota to score his hat-trick in injury time, securing all three points for Nuno’s men.

Jota and Neves grabbed the headlines, but holding midfielder Leander Dendoncker was superb in just his third Premier League start for the club.

The 22-year-old arrived on loan from Anderlecht in August, and has taken a while to get going but now appears to be emerging as a top player for Wolves.

Fans took to Twitter to hail his performance, suggesting that he is a ‘baller’ and was the ‘unsung hero’ in the 4-3 win, with other fans adding that they are in love with the Belgian ace.
