Wolverhampton Wanderers put in a superb display against Chelsea this weekend, and while the Championship side ultimately lost 2-0 in their FA Cup fifth round tie they can hold their heads high.
Wolves looked solid for much of the game, repelling Chelsea’s attacks with relative ease in the first half before the Blues finally broke through, and much of that was due to the performance of Kortney Hause.
The 21-year-old has been in and out of the starting line-up this season, racking up just 12 Championship appearances to date, but on this evidence he should be one of the first names on the team sheet going forward.
Hause looked impressive in the fourth round victory against Liverpool and he again showed composure and skill against the Premier League leaders, even if he was ultimately on the wrong end of the score line.
