Some Wolverhampton Wanderers fans react to Joao Moutinho’s performance at Leicester.

Some Wolverhampton Wanderers fans on Twitter aren’t loving Joao Moutinho as of yet.

Wolves were given a rude awakening regarding the mite of the Premier League again this afternoon by losing 2-0 away to Leicester City.

Last week, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, who cruised to Premier League promotion last season, struggled against 10-man Everton and could only earn a 2-2 draw.

Wanderers enjoyed a brilliant summer on the transfer front and Moutinho – a 113-cap Portugal international – was arguably the marquee addition.

The 31-year-old had some good moments for Wolves this afternoon and hit the bar at one stage.

But some fans of the Molineux club admit that he isn’t impressing them as of yet.

The former Monaco and Porto midfielder is clearly a class act and those judging him after two games should remember that it’ll take time to transition to life in England’s top flight.

For £5 million, Moutinho remains an absolute bargain and in time, he will prove it.
