Wolves owned Ivan Cavaleiro had one of the best games of his career last night for Fulham.
Cavaleiro scored twice and provided one assist in a truly dominant Fulham victory over Millwall
At one point midway through the first half Fulham had as much as 88 per cent possession, and Fulham made their dominance count.
Cavaleiro’s performance caught the attention of Wolves fans, who celebrated him as a hero in 2017/18 after he helped fire the club to promotion from the Championship.
Now he is busy trying to help Fulham do the same, and already has three goals to his name this season.
Fulham have an option to buy Cavaleiro permanently as part of the deal, Wolves confirmed last month.
The Championship side are probably wishing they could activate this immediately.
Wolves fans are split between enjoying seeing Cavaleiro doing so well, and wishing he hadn’t left.
