Wolverhampton Wanderers ran out comfortable winners against Fulham this weekend.
Wolverhampton Wanderers recorded a huge victory in their bid to move further away from the Championship’s relegation zone on Saturday as they overcame in-form Fulham 3-1 at Craven Cottage.
Ivan Cavaleiro opened the scoring for the visitors and Andreas Weimann made it two for Wolves shortly after half time.
While Fulham got back into the game courtesy of Denis Odoi, Dave Edwards put the game to bed with 18 minutes remaining.
The result means Wolves are five points clear of the drop zone and the victory will give them plenty of confidence for the challenges ahead.
Cavaleiro missed six matches through injury earlier this year – with Wolves losing five of them – and his return to fitness and form has come at the perfect time.
