Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have reacted on Twitter to the club’s decision to send highly-rated goalkeeper Harry Burgoyne out on loan.

The 21-year-old will be plying his trade in League One for Plymouth Argyle for the 2018-19 campaign.

Burgoyne offered glimpses into his undoubted talent during the 2016-17 season after making six Championship appearances for Wolves.

With Nuno Espirito Santo’s side now back in the Premier League, there is less room to experiment and therefore Wanderers have farmed him out to Plymouth for the sake of giving him regular football.

Burgoyne was Nuno’s second-choice keeper for half of last season and presumably the Portuguese manager will sign a replacement.

Wolves have been linked to a whole host of goalkeepers, and some fans of the Molineux club believe that the decision regarding Burgoyne could indicate that a deal for Rui Patricio is that bit closer.

Here’s how they reacted to the announcement:

Patricio to Wolves is turning into something of a saga, but Portuguese outlet O Jogo reported last week that a move to the West Midlands was close to materialising.
