Wolverhampton Wanderers fans on Twitter are fuming that Aston Villa’s Tyrone Mings has earned an England call-up before Conor Coady.

On Thursday, Gareth Southgate named his England squad for games against Bulgaria and Kosovo, with Mings a number of new faces in the squad, as reported by BBC Sport.

Mings has been outstanding for Villa in their opening three Premier League matches and on Friday night he helped them to their first win and clean sheet of the season when they beat Everton.

Before the comments from the Wolves fans, this is how their former player Kortney Hause reacted on Instagram to Mings earning his maiden England call-up. They both helped Villa earn promotion to the Premier League last term.

Despite Villa conceding five goals in their opening three matches, Mings has been a powerhouse at the back, with his calmness, leadership skills and ability to bring the ball out from the back standing out.

But it seems as though his call-up has angered Villa’s Midland rivals Wolves, with some of their fans believing that Coady should have been a part of the squad ahead of Mings.

Coady helped Wolves to a seventh-placed finish last season and on Thursday, he is hoping they can reach the group stages of the Europa League.
