Wolverhampton Wanderers moved themselves four points clear at the top of the Championship.
Willy Boly
Wolves fans have heaping praise upon Willy Boly on Twitter after his latest brilliant display helped Nuno Espirito Santo’s men to another win that leaves them four points clear at the top of the Championship.
It looked inevitable that Wolves would take three points from their trip to St Andrew’s with Birmingham City currently situated in the bottom three in the second tier – and those pre-match predictions looked to be on the money when Leo Bonatini opened the scoring inside eight minutes, though he needed the assistance of the goal-line technology to confirm that the ball had crossed the line.

Wolves would not add to the score, but the scoreline does not seem to do justice to how dominant Nuno’s men often were, with Blues goalkeeper David Stockdale having to keep the score down and the home side failing to put a single shot on target throughout the game.
One of the reasons Birmingham found it impossible to test John Ruddy was the performance of the Wolves defence – including Boly, who was fantastic in the victory.

The 26-year-old has been one of the signings of the season for Wolves since arriving on loan from Porto, proving rock solid defensively and more than capable of using the ball as if he was a midfield playmaker.
Unsurprisingly, the fans have heaped praise on the Frenchman on social media, insisting he has been one of their best players all season and proved it once again at St Andrew’s.
Here is the best of the reaction…
