According to Express & Star, Championship side Wolves were interested in signing Okaka from Premier League outfit Watford on transfer deadline day.

It has been reported that a late deal was in place for the Wanderers to secure the services of the 28-year-old forward on loan.

It has been reported that Okaka wanted to remain at Watford and fight for his place in the starting lineup.

Okaka has been on the books of Watford since the summer of 2016 when he joined from Belgian club Anderlecht for a transfer fee reported by The Sun to be worth £10 million.

The Italy international failed to make a massive impact at Vicarage Road last season, as he was able to make only 10 starts in the Premier League, scoring four goals in the process.
