That’s probably the best way to describe seeing your side lose a three-goal lead to drop points on a Saturday afternoon.
It happened to AC Milan in midweek in 2005 – during the small matter of the Champions League final.
And it happened to Wolverhampton Wanderers this week, with Kenny Jackett’s side surrendering a 3-0 lead against his former club Millwall.
Ian Holloway’s men fought back through two Ricardo Fuller goals and Wolves ended up dropping yet more points. Since beating Bolton Wanderers 1-0, Wolves have embarked upon a remarkable run of conceding 11 goals in just four games. They have not won a single one of those four.
But, if there’s one man who can put a smile on supporters’ faces, it is Bakary Sako. The Mali international has been described by Wolves fans as their greatest player in 20 years – and the best player outside of the Premier League.
He scored a stunning free kick against Millwall today and almost netted another one late in the game, as well as registering an assist against Holloway’s side.
