Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly received a massive boost with the news that Ruben Neves is set to sign a new contract.

A number of Wolves fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the reports emerging from the Express and Star which have suggested that Ruben Neves is about to sign a five-year deal with the Premier League newbies.
Neves took many by surprise last summer when he completed a big-money move to Molineux. It was a deal that certainly captured the imagination and saw Wolves make a massive statement ahead of Nuno Espirito Santo’s first season in charge of the club.

And Neves proved to be every bit as good as the fans would have hoped he would be, inspiring the club to the Championship title at a canter. It would have been little surprise if teams were having a serious look at trying to tempt the 21-year-old away from Wolves this summer.
However, the Express and Star have reported that Neves is now set to sign a new contract with Wolves, with the new deal set to run until 2023. It is, once again, a sensational sign of intent as they prepare for life in the top flight.

Unsurprisingly, the news has gone down incredibly well on social media. Neves has been a fantastic signing, and the extension is extremely notable due to what it says about the direction he sees his current club going in.
Some fans have even suggested that it is the best piece of business that Wolves will possibly do this summer, including potential new signings and it is undoubtedly a superb way for the club to go into their first season back at England’s top table.
