Romain Saiss returned to the Wolverhampton Wanderers starting lineup on Friday night as Nuno’s men faced Liverpool.
Wolves fans clearly feel that they have plenty to be positive about despite their 2-0 defeat to Liverpool on Friday night, with Romain Saiss’ display at Molineux proving to be one of the major talking points on Twitter.
Saiss was recalled to the starting lineup to try and give Wolves an edge in the midfield battle with the Premier League leaders. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men certainly created enough chances to punish the visitors, but the Reds were clinical in front of goal.
Given Liverpool’s form this season, many Wolves fans have come away from the game feeling fairly happy with the performances that they saw from their players.
Saiss’ display, in particular, received a lot of praise. The 28-year-old was making only his fourth league start of the season, but many felt that he was Wolves’ best player on the pitch.
He broke up play superbly and arguably outshone the likes of Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho in the middle of the park, and many are now calling for the Morocco international to feature more regularly in the starting lineup.
Some felt that he is a brilliant addition to improve the balance within the side and have urged Nuno to keep him in the lineup when they travel to Fulham on Boxing Day.
