The Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder penned a new deal on Friday afternoon, despite being linked with Fulham over the summer.
Wolves fans were left delighted on Friday afternoon after Kevin McDonald’s new contract was confirmed.
Since joining the Championship side, McDonald has been instrumental in Kenny Jackett’s midfield. This season, however, the 26-year-old has been far from at his best at Wolves.
It may, of course, have something to do with the transfer talk that surrounded the midfielder’s future over the summer. Indeed, McDonald was linked with Fulham all summer long, with Wolves rejecting a bid from the Cottagers, according to the Express and Star.
Now that the Wolves midfielder has signed a new deal, though, supporters have been left with smiles on their faces. And it was a boost they all needed after a succession of mixed results from Jackett’s men so far this term.
But fans were also keen to send a message to the 26-year-old after the news broke. Now that McDonald’s future is sorted, the Wolves faithful want the playmaker to return to his best.
