Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Kortney Hause has joined Aston Villa.

Fans make their way to the Emirates FA Cup Third Round match between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Liverpool at Molineux on January 7, 2019 in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom.

Wolves supporters on Twitter have wished Kortney Hause good luck after he joined Aston Villa.

The Molineux-based club announced on their official website that the 23-year-old has moved to the Championship side on loan with an option to make the deal permanent at the end of the campaign.

Former England under-21 international Hause has only played two EFL Cup matches for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side this season and featured in a number of matchday squads in the Premier League.

Now, he makes the small journey to Villa Park where he will be tasked in helping Dean Smith’s side earn promotion from the second tier of English football.

Hause’s parent club achieved that last season when they finished top of the Championship table, with then-Villa manager Steve Bruce guiding his side to the playoff finals.

Following his move, a number of Wolves supporters on Twitter urged the youngster to prove his worth as one fan backed him to ‘tear it up’.

Others did state that they want their player to do well, but would like Villa to struggle as they currently sit outside of the play-off places in their race for promotion.

It is likely that this will not be the only transfer both clubs will be involved in this month with Aston Villa striker Tammy Abraham, who is on loan from Chelsea, potentially heading to Molineux.

Sky Sports claim that Abraham is nearing a move to the Premier League side as they want him signed in time to face Manchester City.

One Wolves fan responded to the Hause signing by calling for the club to ‘announce Tammy’.
