Wolves fans react on Twitter to Danny Batth’s performance v Norwich

Wolves’ 2-0 defeat to the Canaries left some fans disappointed with their centre-back’s performance.

A 2-0 defeat away from home at a strong Championship side is no disgrace.

For Wolverhampton Wanderers, however, their 2-0 loss at Norwich City was a costly one. The Canaries are now five points clear of Wolves, sitting in the final play-off place. A win for the visitors would have taken them above Norwich…

Things are far from disastrous for Kenny Jackett’s men, of course, but this result was certainly a blow for their play-off hopes.

Could it be a blessing in disguise anyway for Wolves? Will it hurt them if they go up too soon?

What can be said is that this was a big game that presented a winnable opportunity. Jackett’s side, though, let themselves down with their performance – according to fans on Twitter after the game.

And one particular culprit was Wolves centre-back Danny Batth, who was criticised for his display against Norwich – and his tendency to hoof the ball up-field instead of pick a smarter pass.
