Wolves fans have taken to Twitter to react to Danny Batth’s performance after the defender got the chance to make a rare start in a game that saw Nuno Espirito Santo’s men move themselves six points clear at the top of the Championship.

And the visitors certainly got themselves back on track as they stormed to a 3-0 win with Romain Saiss and Willy Boly scoring during the first-half and Benik Afobe putting the exclamation point on the win in the second-half with a stunning lob just minutes after coming onto the pitch.

There were several sensational performances from Wolves players on a night that they completely controlled, and one of the players that received a huge amount of praise on social media after the game was Batth.

Nuno took a gamble by handing the 27-year-old his first league start in 2018 and only his second appearance in any competition since the turn of the year, but the gamble paid off handsomely.

Batth settled into the back three extremely well to ensure that the home side barely got a look in throughout the game, and several supporters were delighted with what they saw from the defender.
