A number of Wolves fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the reports emerging from The Sun this week which suggested that Nuno Espirito Santo’s men are leading the charge to sign Middlesbrough winger Adama Traore.

Traore’s future appears to be up in the air this summer. The Sun suggests that he has an £18 million release clause, and has a list of admirers that includes or has included Southampton, West Ham and Huddersfield.

The Sun is now suggesting that Wolves are at the front of the queue right now, alongside the Terriers, though it is unclear whether they are considering triggering his release clause or hoping to negotiate a deal at a lower price.

Interestingly, the reports have attracted a largely negative response amongst some of the Wolves fans on social media. The 22-year-old has endured a mixed time in England after arriving from Barcelona in 2015. He failed to score a single league goal during his previous two top flight campaigns, and that appears to have put a number of fans off with Wolves preparing for their first season back at England’s top table.

There is some support for a potential move however. Traore was superb last season with Boro, scoring five goals and contributing 10 assists before their campaign concluded in the play-off semi-final.

He often looked to be the most dangerous player on the pitch, and he arguably has the potential to cause Premier League full-backs plenty of problems if he does earn a move this summer.

However, should he sign for Wolves, it does appear that he will have plenty of work to do if he hopes to win over the Molineux faithful as they appear to be divided following the initial reports.

Here is some of the reaction to the rumours…
