Wolverhampton Wanderers suffered a defeat to Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night and missed the chance to move within three points of the top-half of the Championship.
Paul Lambert
Wolves fans have been reacting on Twitter with plenty of frustration after Dave Edwards kept his place in Paul Lambert’s side for the defeat to Huddersfield on Tuesday night.
Wolves missed the chance to move to within three points of the top-half of the Championship as a goal from Izzy Brown just after the half-hour mark handed the Terriers a narrow win that guaranteed their spot in the play-off places.
Unsurprisingly, with the season ending in unspectacular fashion – a recent five-match winning run ended any realistic relegation concerns the team had – the fans have been left disappointed with the Molineux side’s performance recently, and have directed much of their anger towards Lambert.
Dave Edwards
On the pitch, it is Edwards who has received much of the criticism having seemingly made himself undroppable under Lambert, much to the fans’ annoyance.
Edwards is one of just two players within the Wolves squad to have made at least 40 starts in the league this season – the other being Matt Doherty – and while he has contributed a number of goals, a large chunk of the supporters feel that his overall contribution has left a lot to be desired.

Here is the best of the reaction…
