Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have reacted on Twitter to reports by A Bola that the club has had an offer for Jesús Corona rejected by Porto.

The Portuguese champions are said to be asking for £25 million, which is the 27-year-old’s release clause.

Corona enjoyed a stunning 2019/20 campaign in the Primeira Liga, racking up four goals and 14 assists. His efforts saw him named the division’s ‘most valuable player’.

The 42-cap Mexico international – a teammate of Raul Jimenez for the national team – appeared all over the field for Porto last term.

As Transfermarkt reveals, Corona predominately featured at right-back, although he also appeared on both sides of the attack and even as a striker!

Wolves have already done business with the Portuguese giants this summer, taking 18-year-old wonderkid Fabio Silva from them for a club-record £35 million fee.

The Midlands-based outfit have also signed Vitinha from Porto, so it will be interesting to see if they can make it a hat-trick of signings from the 2019/20 title winners.

Nuno Espirito Santo could definitely do with adding Corona to his squad.

The Wolves boss has already lost Matt Doherty to Tottenham, leaving him with no recognised right-back.
