A number of Wolves fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports from the Daily Mirror which have claimed that Leeds have agreed to pay £15 million for Helder Costa to make his loan deal permanent next summer.

Costa became the fourth player to join Marcelo Bielsa’s first-team squad at Elland Road, with Leeds confirming on their official website that the 25-year-old has joined on loan in a deal that will become permanent at the end of next season.

The Championship side have announced that Costa has signed a four-year deal that is set to run until 2024. Unsurprisingly, Leeds have suggested that the fee is undisclosed.

The Daily Mirror have reported however, that Leeds have agreed to pay £15 million for the Portuguese. And that figure has certainly caught the eye of the Wolves fans on social media.

Costa is clearly a popular figure amongst a large section of the Molineux faithful. His form during his first year in England was crucial as Wolves looked in danger of potentially being relegated to League One, and he did well the following campaign as the club sealed promotion under Nuno Espirito Santo.

Things did not work out for the winger in the Premier League. But his contribution during those first two years has not been overlooked. Nevertheless, most of the supporters cannot believe the fee that has been agreed.

They clearly feel that Wolves have got the much better end of the deal. They have managed to make a profit on a player – they spent £13 million on him, according to the Express and Star – who struggled to make any impression last season, and they have lauded the club for agreeing that price.
