Goalkeeper Burgoyne has signed a new deal with Wolves.

Wolves’ third-choice goalkeeper Harry Burgoyne has put pen to paper on a new contract with the Championship’s league leaders as his previous deal entered its final 18 months – and fans have congratulated the stopper on Twitter.
The 21-year-old, who stands at a lofty 6ft 3in, would have been unsure over his future before being handed a new contract, as his preceding deal was set to end in the summer of 2019.
Despite remaining behind John Ruddy and back-up goalkeeper Will Norris in the pecking order, Burgoyne has decided to extend his stay at the Molineux as Nuno Espirito Santo decided to hand him a new contract.
Making just six first-team appearances for Wolves, Burgoyne could look to continue impressing in Wolves’ second string before looking to go out on loan this summer in order to get some first-team football under his belt.
This season, he has kept three clean sheets in 12 Premier League 2 matches, but has conceded 22 goals in that time as the Midlands side struggle against top-tier opponents.
Wolves fans reacted to the deal for Burgoyne in positive fashion, though, with one fan hoping he “gets a season-long loan” next term.
