Saiss has impressed as a bit-part player for Wolves this season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Romain Saiss has been linked with a shock move to Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid with the Spanish side said to be watching him – and Wolves fans have reacted on Twitter.
Moroccan outlet Lions De L’Atlas claim that Atletico are interested in landing the 28-year-old, even though the holding midfielder has not been a regular in the Wolves starting eleven this season.
Indeed, Nuno Espirito Santo has preferred the likes of Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho and Leander Dendoncker of late, though Saiss has made 13 Premier League appearances this season – and even scored two goals.
Saiss – who is earning £22,000 a week according to Spotrac – is in the final 18 months of his contract at Wolves and if the Midlands club do not plan on selling him, they must get rid either in the summer of next January to earn some cash.

Atletico could be interested in nabbing the African midfielder, who is renowned for his ability in the air and his no-nonsense approach when marshalling the back four – or in Wolves’s case, a back three.
Wolves fans reacted to the news that Simeone is looking to lure Saiss to Spain from the Midlands, with the majority willing to see the back of the midfielder if the deal is right.
