The Wolverhampton Wanderers and El Tri ace has played over 40 games this calendar year for the Molineux side and for his nation.

A number of Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on Raul Jimenez being called up to the Mexico squad for their upcoming friendly fixtures with the United States and Argentina.
The 28-year-old has picked up from where he left off last season with six goals in eight matches in all competitions, the latest of which salvaged a point against Burnley in the 97th minute on Sunday, 1-1 the final score at Molineux.
Jimenez was also part of the Mexico squad which won the Gold Cup in the summer, while Wolves’ participation in the Europa League meant he returned to competitive action in late July, which has included trips to Belfast, Yerevan and Turin.
Needless to say, a fair few Wolves fans are getting concerned about the possibility of Jimenez suffering from burnout given how essential he is for club and country, and there was concern from some quarters on social media as the Premier League club retweeted El Tri’s squad announcement.
According to the Birmingham Mail, the striker has already played 41 matches this calendar year, and If Wolves progress in the Europa League on Thursday, there is a possibility that he could face a further 26 matches for club and country before the turn of the year.
