The Wolves ace was instrumental as Mexico won the North and Central American tournament.

A number of Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have taken to Twitter to rave about Raul Jimenez following the Mexican striker’s latest accolade.
The 28-year-old was named Gold Cup Player of the Tournament as El Tri ran out 1-0 winners over the United States in the final of the competition to lift the trophy.
Jimenez scored five goals and provided two assists during six appearances at the Gold Cup, including a deft back-heeled pass to Jonathan dos Santos for the winning goal in the final.
The official Wolves Twitter feed proudly announced the news about their talismanic forward:
And here is what some of the Old Gold faithful said on the social media platform in response:
With 13 goals and eight assists from 32 Premier League games and four goals from six FA Cup games (Transfermarkt), Jimenez had a Wolves debut season to remember, and with preparations for 2019-20 currently under way, he will be returning to Molineux with an international medal too.
The Mexican marksman will now get some time off before rejoining Nuno Espirito Santo and teammates as they gear up for their second season in the Premier League, not to mention the prospect of fighting on four fronts – the league, the two domestic cups, and the Europa League.
