Wolves fans react on Twitter to West Brom’s attendance for their FA Cup replay defeat

Some Wolves fans on Twitter have found it laughable that there was such a low turn out by West Brom supporters during their FA Cup replay defeat to Brighton on Wednesday night at the Hawthorns.

Darren Moore’s side were beaten 3-1 by the Premier League club, with the contest going into extra-time after it finished 1-1 after 90 minutes.

The Hawthorns can hold a capacity crowd of just over 26,000, but there was just 8,645 supporters (home and away] present for the FA Cup encounter, according to BBC Sport.

The previous night, Wolves were hosting League One side, Shrewsbury, to book their place in the next round, with over 28,000 fans present, according to BBC Sport.

Nonetheless, one Wolves fan on Twitter stated that their rivals are ‘tinpot’ and called their home support ‘truly awful’ despite playing against a Premier League side.

At this moment in time, West Brom are sitting in a playoff place in the second tier of English football as they aim to secure, at the very least, a top-six finish at the end of the campaign.

On the other hand, their near-neighbours are sitting in the Premier League’s top seven as they will be looking to secure a European spot at the end of the campaign.
